Rating: - * Convenient Stand, but a Little Slippery ... The stand is sleek and convenient, but I have had the laptop slide off a few times (I use a 17" MacBook Pro). The key is to position the laptop on the stand with about an inch of the grippy pad on the top sticking out, so the weight is distributed onto the back of the stand more evenly. I definitely like the way the stand looks, but it is a bit pricey considering how simple a piece of "equipment" it is. Ask yourself if you wouldn't rather just stack up some books? Rating: - * very useful product! ... I've been using this laptop stand for my 15' Macbook Pro for the last few months. Initially I was just looking to elevate my computer to create more table space. After using this, I have found many benefits from having this stand. 1) Elevates the laptop and creates a little more space on your table if you needed to do some writing. 2) Keeps the laptop cooler since it allows airflow on the bottom of the computer 3) I've found that my sitting posture has changed drastically, and my back doesn't hurt after sitting at my table for a long period of time. 4) Allows me to type from an external keyboard that sits nicely under the stand when not in use. The stand is small and can be easily put away. My 15' laptop sits pretty nicely on it. I was worried in the beginning after reading some reviews about the computer sliding down the rubber, but it has been pretty secure so far. Rating: - * Dirty used keyboard ... I recall the ad saying "new" keyboard. It came very used and unclean. Rating: - * Great computer stand ... The Griffin laptop computer stand is a great product. I'd buy another one in a minute if I had a need for it. Rating: - * Perfect product - Kind of pricey ... I love this product. I use one at both work and home for my 15 inch MacBook Pro. Definitely ideal for dual monitor set up (laptop screen and external monitor). The only thing I can ding it on is price. I'm no expert, but based on the material and what I would think it would take to manufacturer these, I suspect the margins are pretty high. And they're not even made by Apple... ;-) |
